Do you sell Mobile phone handsets?
No, we’re SIM-only so we can focus on providing the best packages, the best data speeds and the best value. It’s generally always cheaper to buy the handset outright if you can – especially when some manufacturers have 0% finance offers on like Apple and Samsung often do.
Can I keep my existing number?
Yes, it’s really easy to do this by using the universal PAC code system. Just send “PAC” to 65075 from any network provider and within 1 minute they’ll send you PAC code that’s valid for 30 days (ofcom guidelines that all mobile operators have to follow). Then just fill in these details on the order form with us and we’ll ensure your mobile number transfers when you first put our SIM in your phone – so there’s no downtime in calls (apart from when your mobile phone is turned off to switch SIMs)
What network do you use?
We use o2’s vast array of masts to provide the best UK mobile phone coverage. We do appreciate that sometimes o2 might not be the best for a small number of locations, and being an independent operator, we are able to supply services using Vodafone and EE networks also upon request.
Can I move between contracts?
Sure, change your plan to suit your needs as often as you like. The only exception is moving to or from our Unlimited plan, you’ll need a new SIM to move from or to Unlimited due to the unique way we provide the data part of this plan.
Can I use my calls and quota in Europe?
Currently yes, all of your minutes and data is valid for use within the EU, so no extra charges. This may change depending on Brexit – but we’ll do everything we can to keep our plans competitive at least, remaining free-to-roam the EU at best.
What about International call charges?
International calls and premium numbers are charged at standard o2 rates – usually lower than most other networks due to them being the largest mobile provider in the UK. We offer a Spend-Cap service whereby we block any services that would incur and extra charge, like premium calls or roaming for example – essentially so you never pay anything more than the monthly fee. This is ideal for kids or employee/staff SIMs.
What size SIMs do you send?
It’s the standard universal SIM that snaps into all three sizes, from micro, to mini to standard – so it fits all mobile phones including Apple and Samsung.
What about roaming outside of the EU?
World Traveller addon is automatically enabled if you use your phone “out-of-zone” in order to ensure your charges are kept low. There’s a £6 daily charge, which provides different call and data costs depending you your country – but importantly it protects you from massive phone bills! If you travel regularly, we have a separate bolt-on that can reduce international charges by up to 96% for you – contact us for details.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, you’ll be prepaid in advance for your plan, and charged any calls for the previous month in arrears. We just ask for 1 full month’s notice of cancellation and your bill to be settled in full. That doesn’t stop you transferring your mobile via the PAC system, we’re signed up to the Ofcom code of conduct to provide and comply with this fully to ensure you’re never held to ransom by the less-fair mobile providers!
How quickly do I get my mobile SIM
Orders placed before 2pm are normally dispatched same day for next day delivery, Royal Mail Signed for. If you need a sooner delivery option, a Saturday delivery or an International delivery please let us know.
Can I use 5G?
Yes, all of our SIM plans will utilise 5G network speeds if your device supports in and there is o2 5G coverage in the area of use – specifically if you’re connected to a 5G-capable mast. There’s not a lot of them about at present, mainly in the bigger cities and trial areas right now but rollout is improving.
Can I use Tethering?
For sure – it’s your data, use at how you like. Tethering is when you use your Mobile phone to create a mini-wifi network for other devices to use as an internet connection – for example so you can browse the internet on your laptop.
